Médicos e instituciones confesionales alertas ante la aplicación de la ley del aborto
Como médico con principios éticos, me sumo en apoyo de las Instituciones de Salud confesionales ante la inminente puesta en funcionamiento de la ley del aborto promulgada por el Gobierno Argentino. Los médicos e instituciones elaboran actualmente estrategias judiciales a los efectos de rechazar las medidas de la ley por motivo de consciencia moral y espiritual.
Son múltiples las reuniones al respecto entre los agentes de la salud y asesores jurídicos para diagramar la estrategia que proteja a dichos profesionales ante la amenaza que dicha ley representa para ellos al negarse a practicar un aborto, ya que la penalidad va desde la suspensión de la matrícula para el ejercicio de la profesión y la posibilidad cierta de ser penados con ir a la cárcel.
Según la ley de interrupción del embarazo los sanatorios están obligados a garantizar la atención o derivación de una mujer que desea practicarse un aborto. Las clínicas confesionales se niegan a aceptar esta disposición ya que va en contra de sus principios y valores. Están dispuestas aun a cerrar el área de obstetricia si se ven presionadas a practicar abortos.
Y frente a la pregunta de si conocen alguna otra institución que practique el aborto, responderán que no conocen donde se realiza dicha intervención médica (hecho de por si cierto). Los médicos con principios éticos no derivaran a las mujeres a otros centros de salud, ya que va en contra de los postulados del que hacer medico como por ejemplo el Juramento Hipocrático (que juramos todos los médicos en el momento de recibir nuestro título), el cual expresa claramente que un profesional de salud no debe practicar un aborto.
En mi caso particular desde la ONG “AMOR EN ACCION” que presido como Presidente, nuestros equipos de asesores jurídicos están trabajando en la elaboración de un amparo judicial para frenar la ley del aborto. Dicho amparo lo presentaremos en breve en los tribunales de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires en unión a sanatorios, ONG s, Profesionales de la salud etc.
