El Sindicato de Obreros Marítimos Unidos (S.O.M.U.), comenzará, a partir de las cero horas (00:00) del día lunes 6 de julio, una medida de fuerza en todo el sector pesquero, con un paro total de actividades.
La medida fue decidida por el sindicato al no llegar a una acuerdo con las Cámaras del sector, C.A.Pe.C.A., C.A.P.I.P. y C.E.P.A.
“Tuvimos varias reuniones con las Cámaras para llegar a un acuerdo, pero ellos optaron por medidas egoísta y poco solidaria proponiendo una baja en los valores de producción del langostino, la merluza y el calamar, en prejuicio de los trabajadores”, remarcó Raúl Duros, Secretario General del SOMU.
Por otra parte, el gremio remarcó en un comunicado que “no aceptamos ninguna baja en los valores de producción, ni quita de salario de los trabajadores marítimos, como así tampoco la EXTORSIÓN a que nos quieren someter con la amenaza que si no se bajan esos valores de producción, los barcos no salen, generando de esa manera un lock out patronal que vamos a denunciar”.
Durdos se mostró preocupado por la “insensibilidad de los funcionarios” del Ministerio de Trabajo, del Ministerio de la Producción y de la Subsecretaria de Pesca, ya que “siendo esta una actividad esencial y por sobre todo, sacrificada y peligrosa, el Estado no haya sugerido a estos empresarios que tienen que sacar los barcos a pescar; así que espero que ahora no tengan la desafortunada decisión de ponerse del lado de la patronal y nos quieran imponer una conciliación obligata” sentenció.
Por último, el SOMU denunció que los empresarios de la pesca “quieren aprovecharse de la crisis sanitaria para hacerle una fuerte rebaja al salarios de los trabajadores, pero ya le hemos dicho en forma contundente que no vamos a aceptar ninguna baja en los valores de producción del langostino, ni ninguna quita en los salarios de los trabajadores marítimos, porque hoy vienen por el langostino congelado, luego vendrán por el fresco, mañana por la merluza y después lo harán por el calamar”.
