FUERTE APOYO DE LA INTERNACIONAL DEL TRASPORTE AL SOMU

En una carta dirigida al Ministro de Trabajo, Claudio Moroni, al Ministro de Desarrollo Social, Daniel Arroyo y al Subsecretario de Pesca, Carlos Libertman, la Federación Internacional de los Trabajadores del Transporte (ITF), expresó su preocupación ante el conflicto desatado entre el Sindicato de Obreros Marítimos Unidos (SOMU) y las cámaras C.A.Pe.C.A., C.A.P.I.P. y C.E.P.A. y las Empresas independientes que nuclean la flota de buques pesqueros de la República Argentina.

La misiva repudia “la alarmante postura adoptada por los empresarios del sector de pesca, que intentan aprovechar la desafortunada situación de crisis sanitaria que tantas vida está cobrando a nivel mundial, para incrementar sus márgenes de ganancia, disminuyendo los salarios y los valores establecidos en la producción para los buques pesqueros”.

“Advertimos que se está intentando avasallar el convenio colectivo de trabajo, clave en la actividad pesquera y marítima, imponiendo rebajas de un 40% en los precios conveniodos” señalan.

Por otra parte, objetan que “pese a encontrarse las empresas en condiciones de hacer zarpar sus flotas atendiendo el inicio de la temporada de pesca de los buques congeladores, las mismas decidieron no salir a navegar. Esto no solamente fue interpretado como una extorsión a la organización gremial (los buques no saldrían a pescar a menos que se accediera a disminuir los puntos convencionados) sino también como un “lock out” patronal, el cual fue debidamente denunciado por el SOMU pero que sorpresivamente, no fue atendido con la urgencia y severidad que se merece tanto por el Ministerio de Trabajo, Empleo y Seguridad Social como por la Subsecretaría de Pesca y Acuicultura, toda vez que se trata de una actividad esencial y por demás sacrificada y peligrosa” añadieron.

Por último ratificaron su “apoyo solidario a la medida de fuerza a la que el Sindicato de Obreros Marítimos Unidos (SOMU) fue empujado”, a la vez que rechazaron “toda actitud extorisva que pudiera vulnerar los derechos laborales y sindicales consagrados ante organismos internacionales y nacionales de la República”.

La declaración fue firmada por Pablo Moyano, Vicepresidente Comité Ejecutivo de la ITF, Edgar Diaz Secretario Regional para América Latina y el Caribe, y Angel Juan Navarro, Presidente de la Internacional de Trabajadores del Transporte; entidad que reune a más de 19 millones de trabajadores y trabajadoras, representados en 700 organizaciones sindicales afiliadas, en más de 150 países.
